Simon "Ghastly" Grayson is a wizarding musician (or "wrock star"), ghost writer, and posthumous rights activist. He is not fond of the American Bureau of Hauntings, or even of the word "haunting." Most of his fans appear to be Radicalists.
In 1999, he conducted the musical tour Dead Not Gone: Ghastly World Tour `99
In August of 2009, Grayson held a book-signing at Boxley's Books in the Goblin Market for his latest work, Deathly Society. Alexandra Quick asked Grayson about the nature of being a ghost, and the writer signed a copy of his book for Quick, dedicating the volume to her deceased brother.
